Top 10 teams Haslett and Williamston tie 4-4

The #10 ranked Haslett Vikings played the #7 ranked Williamston Hornets Tuesday afternoon at Haslett High School, resulting in a tied match. Winners for Haslett included Alex Stanulis at #2 singles, Henry Zayko at #3, and Ethan Fajardo at #4. The #4 doubles team of Nate Stewart and Nolan Kelley also won their match. Senior #1 singles player Nathan Choi played a tough match before falling to one of the state’s top players Oliver Weaver.

The Vikings were very competitive at all the doubles flights, going three sets at #1 and #3 doubles and playing close matches at the other positions.

Next up for the Vikings is a make up match against East Lansing Wednesday afternoon at Haslett High School. The Vikings will then try to win their 7th league title in a row at St. Johns on Thursday during the CAAC Red tournament.
